Pleurisy
Pleurisy (pleuritis) is a condition in which the layer covering the lungs, called the pleura, becomes inflamed. The most common symptom is a sharp chest pain.
Pleurisy is the inflammation of the pleura. It's usually caused by another condition, such as an infection.
Treatment for pleurisy usually involves relieving pain and treating the underlying cause of the condition.
